DJ Cue comes from a background of business and music production.  In JR high school he started djing at home making tapes and doing small parties with longtime best friend Antares. In high school he continued collecting records and began his passion for music production. In college he learned about broadcasting and studio engineering at San Francisco State University and City College of San Francisco.  During college he met DJ Quest and Eddie Def and then the 3 joined together to become the Bullet Proof Scratch Hamsters(1992). 

DJ Cue always interested in business wanted to start releasing records and along with his group put together a well known record called "Hamster Breaks Vol 1".  This record would go on to change the history of dj's internationally.  Being used by dj's and producers all over the world from DJ Premier (Gangstarr), Muggs (Cypress Hill), Lethal (House of Pain), Cash Money, and many others.  Since then DJ Cue has been releasing albums with many different labels and on his own with more than 30 different releases to his credit. 

Selling his own products was not his only venture in the biz.  In 1994 he opened what is known today as one of the most well respected record stores in the Bay Area, Cue's Records.  This store changed the way people bought records and was well known all over the globe. After closing Cue's Records in 2000, DJ Cue started on a 9 album record release schedule.  He put out more solo records in 1 year then he ever did in the previous 4. 

Now in 2006 DJ Cue is working on creating new records on his own label DJ Cue Inc.
